Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Refrigerator LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Detoxify iPhone app and detoxifyapp.com.

Detoxify is a self-tracking habit app. It is not a medical device, not health care, and not a substitute for professional treatment.

Who we are

What we collect

Account

You sign in with Apple or Google through Clerk. We receive an account identifier and, depending on what you (or the provider) share, an email address and a display name. If you use Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, we receive Apple’s relay address, not your personal inbox.

Habit records you create

When you use the app we store:

• Habit names you type or pick, and whether you avoid or perform them
• Resists, tallies, and session start/end times and durations
• Daily summaries used to draw your chart
• Your timezone, so “today” and streaks match the day you are in
• Which subscription prices we showed you (an internal offer bucket)
• On-device settings such as whether you finished onboarding (stored on the phone, not on our servers)

Subscriptions

Apple processes all payments. We never see your card number. We store subscription status so the app can unlock history: product identifier (weekly or yearly), original transaction id, whether the subscription is in trial, active, expired, or revoked, the expiry time, and whether it will auto-renew. Apple keeps the billing record under Apple’s privacy policy.

What we do not collect

• No HealthKit, Health app, or clinical records
• No contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location
• No advertising identifier, no ATT prompt, no third-party analytics SDK
• We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Create and restore your account on this phone (and later ones, if you sign in)
• Show your button, today, chart, and progress
• Honor a paid or trial subscription
• Fix bugs and keep the service running
• Respond if you email us
• Meet legal obligations (for example tax or a lawful request)

We do not use your habit log to train public AI models, to advertise to you, or to build a profile for anyone else.

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process account and habit data to perform the contract (providing the app you asked for), subscription records as needed for that contract and for legal obligations, and limited server logs on the basis of legitimate interests in running a secure service.

Who processes it

Clerk and Convex process data on our instructions to run the app. Apple and Google are separate companies: if you sign in with them, or buy a subscription from Apple, they handle that under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your habit log to advertisers.

• Vercel — hosts this website. Request logs may include IP address for a short time. Vercel privacy

These providers may process data in the United States. If we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on the processor’s appropriate safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).

Sensitive habit data

You choose what to track. Names like smoking, drinking, or other personal habits can reveal sensitive information. That data stays in your account so the app can work. We do not infer medical conditions, and we do not send this log to advertisers. You control the labels. Do not put other people’s private information in a habit name.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those words are used in the CPRA. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics for advertising.

Email armatav@gmail.com to exercise a right. We will need enough information to find your account (usually the email on it). We respond within one month where the law requires it, or sooner when we can.

Deleting your account

In the app, open the habit list and tap Delete account. That deletes your Clerk user, habits, events, daily stats, open sessions, and entitlement records. You can also email armatav@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject line “Delete my Detoxify account.” We aim to finish emailed requests within 30 days.

Deleting Detoxify does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or it will keep billing. Apple may retain its own payment records. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also stop using the app under Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.

After deletion we may keep a minimal record if the law requires it (for example a note that a deletion request was completed).

Children

Detoxify is for people 17 or older. We do not create accounts for anyone younger, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

This website

The marketing site does not set analytics cookies and does not use advertising pixels. Your browser still sends a normal request (IP address, user agent) to Vercel so the page can load. We load the Outfit and Instrument Sans typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives that request as well. Google privacy. We do not use either to identify you as a Detoxify user.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here and update the date above. If a change is material, we will also note it in the app when we can.
